Kao Salon Division London Showcase Celebrates Innovation, Inspiration, and Partnership

More than 350 guests gathered at Space Studios in Wapping for the Kao Salon Division London Showcase – the first of four regional UK showcase events set to take place over the next few months.

Kicking off with the first London showcase event, Kao Salon welcomed both salon partners and prospective salon partners for an exclusive brand experience, giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in the brand house’s full portfolio of brand and product ranges.

Delegates were given the opportunity to experience some of the best in the business with inspirational trend presentations from Kao Salon Guest Artists and Ambassadors.

Casey Coleman of CHAIR Salons, and Lydia Wolfe from Jack & the Wolfe each showcased their incredible colour knowledge, skills and trend insights using new Goldwell Topchic Zero – the newest conscious, incredibly caring, and ammonia-free addition to the iconic permanent in-salon color. They also shared their experience of Goldwell Color Atelier, developed to support the salon industry by championing professional color services and by helping grow end consumers’ trust and desire for professional color services.

Jack Mead from Jack & the Wolfe showcased his latest styling trends, tips and techniques with KMS Hair, demonstrating KMS’s versatility when it comes to hair type, texture, shape, or style, as well as how the brand supports salons to grow in the right direction, by doing what’s right for the planet and our communities.

Angelo Seminara, Goldwell Color Global Ambassador, said: “What an absolute pleasure to share the stage with so many talented individuals. A special welcome return to the Rush team! The highlight was how we all collaborate and freely share our ideas and skills.

I chose to present two looks, both fun and ‘different’ – a representation of creativity in hairdressing. My first look was based on ‘Haute Couture Hair’ associated with fashion editorial and art exhibitions. My look was about creating chains with the hair that imitate rosary beads before creating an exaggerated elevated shape – which was both beautiful and astonishing.

The second look was based on ‘The Feather Boa.’ Using my favourite, Goldwell Elumen, my model’s hair base was dark blonde. I blended a bright pink which was fluorescent-like. The finished look showcased extreme length with lots of movement and bounce.

It was an absolute pleasure to be invited. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did doing it.”

Jack Meade, on half of Jack & The Wolfe, said: “What a fantastic event full of passionate hairdressers coming together with their peers to celebrate Kao Salon Division and brands.”

Lydia Wolfe, the other half of Jack & The Wolfe, said: “It’s so good to see the return of the live event in full force! Such a pleasure to be a part of and we loved showing what Kao Salon Division has to offer.”

The Kao Salon Division Showcase events continue in Newport at Celtic Manor on Monday 17th April; in Glasgow at Drygate Brewing Co on Monday 24th April ; and in Leeds in June. Final details to be confirmed.
