Edinburgh College has been selected by Wella Professionals to become its training base for hairdressers across Scotland and Northern England.
A new Wella Studio has opened at the College’s Granton Campus, which is the perfect inspiring hub for Wella students to learn new skills and push their hairdressing capabilities to the limit. The state of the art facilities offer a first-class educational experience in its new environment that has been designed all with the professional hairdresser in mind. This is yet another example underpinning Wella’s commitment to education and its belief that education sparks creativity and unleashes potential.
The new Scottish studio will deliver Wella’s exceptional portfolio of education courses, led by some of Wella’s most experienced guest educators and education team. Courses range from basic beginner level, through to advanced level, and include a diverse range of topics covering colour, cut and style, scalp care, business skills and learner and trainer education.
Edinburgh College has a partnership with Wella that goes back 40 years. It is recognised as a Wella Centre of Excellence, which signifies the highest standard of training is being delivered to students, strengthening the links between industry and education.
The newly refurbished studio will host retraining and upskilling courses throughout the year for those working in industry. The salon features new styling chairs, basins, a demonstration space, and a product repository. In addition, a meeting space will be developed to allow visiting professionals to complete theory elements of their courses.
