HairTracker Brings Digital Cosmetology Education to the U.S. Trade Show Stage

Emerging HairTech brand takes modern education platform at Cosmoprof Miami and Premiere Anaheim

HairTracker co-founders Tracey Aitken and David Carboni have been on the U.S. trade show circuit this month, introducing their digital education platform to educators, salon professionals, and industry leaders at Cosmoprof Miami and Premiere Show Anaheim.

Built by hair professionals for hair professionals, HairTracker Education, which will launch later this year, is designed to modernize how cosmetology students learn, document client work, and track progress, replacing outdated paper record cards with a secure, app-based system aligned with today’s digital salon environment.

The U.S. shows bring together leading educators, schools, brands, and innovators from across the global beauty industry, giving the HairTracker team an opportunity to connect directly with the American education market. Interest from overseas continues to grow, with more than one third of users of the original HairTracker client record app for professionals already based internationally

With a foundation in both the beauty industry and technology, the HairTracker products are designed to support cosmetology schools, instructors, salons, and students by enabling clear client documentation, service history tracking, colour formula storage, and skill development monitoring, all in one digital platform.

In 2025, HairTracker gained further industry recognition. Co-founder Tracey Aitken was named Scotland Women in Technology Career Changer of the Year, recognizing her transition from salon owner to tech founder. The business also secured a Scottish EDGE award to support the continued development of HairTracker Education.

Following the U.S. shows, the founders plan to apply insights from the American cosmetology education system to the next phase of the platform’s growth, strengthening the connection between education, technology, and the professional hair industry.

Tracey Aitken, HairTracker Co-Founder said: “Hair education is ready to evolve digitally. Many schools still rely on paper record cards, which surprises people outside the industry. With increasing data protection requirements and the expectations of today’s students, it’s time for better tools. HairTracker Education is about giving schools, instructors, and students a modern system that matches how the industry works.”

David Carboni, HairTracker Co-Founder added: “Taking a platform built in Scotland to major US trade shows is a big milestone for us. The US cosmetology education market is incredibly well established, and we’re excited to learn from it. These shows allow us to share what we’ve built, listen closely, and refine HairTracker for a global audience.”
