JGR UK Distribution, an independent business, and the UK distributor for MOOD and Coloraqua alongside several other salon professional brands, was delighted to bring together its network of like-minded individuals, all looking to help grow salon businesses collaboratively, for a Distributor Day filled with inspiration and news.

Held at the iconic Belfry Hotel, the day started with Eddie and Alison Renda, Managing Directors of JGR UK, discussing 2025 successes and how the company plans to continue growing with the support of their invited audience. This set the scene for a host of product updates, launches and guest speakers.
Emil McMahon, Technical Director at Coloraqua, took to the floor to discuss the launch of Coloraqua. He explained how this revolutionary, innovative water-based colour range, new to the UK, allows salons to use one line for three colour services. He shared that the products offer a more eco-conscious, energy-saving, stock-reducing, vegan-friendly and forward-thinking approach to salon colour.

Tracey Ann Smith, UK Creative Director for MOOD and Coloraqua, then created a gorgeous hair look to showcase the product in action. The result was a vibrant, fiery copper tone with extreme radiance.
Kevin Hamm, MOOD Education Manager, then took the group through the exciting upcoming launches for MOOD Colour and Wetline. Kevin has been part of the JGR family for many years, and his incredible depth of knowledge was both informative and inspiring on many levels.
Paul Hetherington, MOOD Account Manager, delivered a passionate presentation on how to grow a business the right way, with the right salons. Paul’s experience in the hairdressing industry has helped him significantly grow his account base, and he shared hints and tips on how he approaches salons and encourages them to consider changing brands.

Eddie and Alison wrapped up the day with a heartfelt thank you to everyone in attendance and to all those who have supported MOOD and Coloraqua on their journey to provide the industry with the very best salon professional products — helping salons remain successful, professional businesses.
A fantastic day was had by all involved — from the MOOD and Coloraqua team to the distributors and salons in attendance — and we can’t wait to see what comes next. With exciting mentions of new products and more salons adding Coloraqua to their ranges and seeing incredible results, the future looks bright.
Commenting on the day, Artistic Director for MOOD and Coloraqua, Tracey Ann Smith, said: “The feedback received from the distribution meeting was amazing — everyone left feeling incredibly inspired and excited for what’s to come. As the Artistic Director, I’m so excited to be helping propel the brand and take it to the next level throughout 2026 with the launch of the new MOOD Lifestyle Artistic Team, our MOOD photoshoot and so much more! All we can say is STAY TUNED!”
