NHBF Top 100 Influencer Awards Just Got a Major Makeover for 2025

The NHBF Top 100 Influencer Awards are back — and this year, they’re bigger, better, and more inclusive than ever before.

In response to overwhelming demand and the incredible level of talent across the industry, the National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF) has announced an exciting evolution of its hugely successful Top 100 Influencer Index. Now in its fifth year, the awards are being split into two distinct and dynamic categories:

  • Top 50 Hair Influencer Index
  • Top 50 Beauty Influencer Index

This means more opportunities for recognition, more celebration of industry creativity, and more space to shine for professionals across hair, beauty, nails, aesthetics, and beyond.

Why the Change?

As the influencer landscape continues to grow, so does the power of digital creators in the hair and beauty space. From educators and salon owners to content creators and trendsetters, today’s professionals are using social media to educate, inspire, and shape the future of the industry.

By separating the Index into Hair and Beauty, the NHBF can now spotlight even more of the individuals and teams driving innovation, creativity, and community in their respective fields.

Nominations Now Open

Entries are open from Monday 10th March, and it’s never been easier to get involved.

Whether you’re a seasoned stylist, a skin specialist, a barber, nail tech, or beauty educator — if you’re influencing and inspiring through your digital presence, this is your time to shine.

You can nominate yourself or someone else you admire — and there’s no limit to how many nominations you can make.

To be eligible for the NHBF Top 50 Hair or Beauty Influencer Index, nominees must:

  • Be currently working in the hairdressing, barbering, beauty, nails, spa or aesthetics industries.

What Happens Next?

After nominations close, the NHBF will compile a Top 250 longlist, which will be independently evaluated using key digital metrics, including:

  • Followers – audience size across platforms
  • Engagement – likes, comments, shares, and overall interaction
  • Reach – the number of people seeing and interacting with content

And then comes the fun part…

  • 🎉 The Top 50 Hair Influencers will be revealed at HairCon, Manchester in June
  • 💫 The Top 50 Beauty Influencers will be announced at Tones of Beauty, London in July

Two industry-leading events. Two stages to celebrate the digital powerhouses redefining hair and beauty.
