After weeks of deliberation and four rounds of judging, College Star USA – Denman’s Big Blowout Competition has announced its winners.
First prize goes to Abigail Schwarz of Lansdale School of Cosmetology, PA. Abigail has won $425 cash and a 1-year PBA Membership. Abigail created a gorgeous glossy and perfectly balanced blowout for her model, beating all the entries to take the top spot in the second annual Denman Big Blowout Competition.
Second prize goes to Jonny Watkins of Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology, SC. Jonny has won $200 and a 1-year PBA Membership.
Third prize goes to Maria Ledbetter of The Paul Mitchell School, CO. Maria has won $100 and 1-year PBA Membership.
Second and third prize were awarded to Jonny and Maria for the visual appeal and quality of their work.
Denman CEO Victoria Fishman said: “We received hundreds of entries from all over the USA, and we are so grateful to all the hairdressing students that got involved and to the tutors that encouraged them to enter. We understand how impactful a great blow-dry can make to the client and the stylists’ earning potential. These entries show just how committed the next generation of hair professionals are to mastering those skills. Huge congratulations to our winners!”
College Star – Denman’s Big Blowout Competition will be back on Monday, February 15, 2027. Students can sign-up to be notified online.
