College Star – Denman’s Big Blowout Competition 2026 attracted over 750 entries this year from hairdressing students all over the UK. The competition is online entry only and students are required to submit just four images of their best blow-dry for a chance to win £1000.
The College Star title for 2026 went to Libby Bowden of Collinge & Co Training. Libby created a gorgeous mid-length voluminous wavy blow-dry that was beautifully balanced. Libby said “I chose this blow-dry as my final look because it has a lot of volume and movement throughout. I feel so happy with winning the competition and really proud of myself for doing it. Anyone thinking of entering next year should go for it…it’s the taking part that counts!”
Libby won a £1000 cash prize and a bundle of Denman tools worth £200 for her college department (plus a Denman College Styling Kit of course!).
