The 9th Awards Ceremony was held at the company’s 2022 Global Connection.
Eufora International has announced the winners of their 2022 Stylist of the Year Awards. Since 2007 stylists from all across North America have competed for top honors. This year’s categories included avant-garde, color vision, contemporary classic, styling and finishing, men’s trend, new talent and team collaboration.
Entries were judged by a team of industry experts. The competition focuses on technical and creative cutting, as well as coloring and styling abilities and fashion vision. Winners were announced on April 5 that an Awards Gala in conjunction with the Eufora 2022 Global Connection held at the JW Marriott Marquis in San Diego, CA.
The 2022 categories and their winners include:
AVANT-GARDE:
Looks that showcase bold, abstract, experimental concepts in expressive, cutting-edge hair design. WINNER: Kari Hengel from Frenchie’s Hair Corporation in Edmonton, Alberta.
STYLING AND FINISHING:
Create wearable finished looks that are red carpet, runway worthy. WINNER: Hayley Hale from Spain the City in Denver, CO.
COLOR VISION:
Demonstrating technical color skill, cohesiveness and vision to create a look in either Contemporary Classic, Avant-Garde, or Men’s Trend. WINNER: Baldassare Bivona from Paul Rehder Salon in Chicago, IL.
CONTEMPORARY CLASSIC:
Showcasing fashion forward, contemporary commercial styles utilizing classic cutting, styling and finishing techniques. WINNER: Kat Shaw from DEEVA HAIR in Kitchener, Ontario.
MEN’S TREND:
Contemporary men’s looks demonstrating technical skill and cohesiveness of the overall impression including facial hair. WINNER: Charley Tuck from Vann Studio in Seattle, WA.
NEW TALENT: Stylists licensed three years or less create looks demonstrating technical skill, cohesiveness and vision. WINNER: Melanie Markham from amp Studios in Leesburg, VA.
TEAM COLLABORATION: A team consisting of at least three stylists. Create a look in Styling and Finishing, Contemporary Classic, Avant-Garde or Men’s Trend. WINNER: DEEVA HAIR from Kitchener, Ontario as entered by Tori Azevedo.
Winners in each category received a $3000 prize package that included Eufora Stylist of the Year Award, a luxe Eufora tool kit, plus a gift certificate for a Eufora Advanced Training Academy Course, including a 3-night hotel stay in Carlsbad, CA and coverage in a future Eufora marketing campaign.
