Care in the Chair™ Expands Globally—Scaling Across the U.S. and U.K. in 2026**

Co-created by InnoPsych and BeautyLynk®, Care in the Chair™ is a first-of-its-kind training initiative that equips salons, barbershops, and spas to respond safely when a client may be experiencing domestic violence or human trafficking.

The need is urgent: globally, nearly 1 in 3 women experience physical and/or sexual violence in their lifetime. (World Health Organization) In the U.S., intimate partner violence affects more than 12 million people each year, and about 1 in 9 men experience severe intimate partner violence. (The Hotline)

After a 2025 pilot, Care in the Chair™ will expand across the U.S. and U.K. throughout 2026, offering practical, trauma-informed guidance on recognizing red flags, using supportive language, and connecting clients to local resources discreetly—without escalating risk. (Boston.gov)

 Industry Education & Awareness

To support its global rollout, Care in the Chair™ is partnering with **Keya Neal**, industry thought leader and Founder of **Texture vs Race®**, to expand education and awareness among beauty professionals nationwide.

Neal’s work focuses on cultural responsibility, client safety, and ethical care in the chair—making her collaboration with Care in the Chair™ a natural extension of her long-standing advocacy for inclusive, people-first beauty practices.

“The beauty chair is one of the few spaces where trust, touch, and conversation intersect,” Neal shared. “If we are going to honor that responsibility, we must also be equipped to respond when something isn’t right.”

“Beauty professionals hold one of the most trusted relationships in our communities,” said Dr. Charmain Jackman, Founder & CEO of InnoPsych. “Care in the Chair™ gives them the language and pathways to respond with compassion—safely.” (Innopsych)

“We proved the model in 2025—now we’re scaling it,” said Rica Elysee, Founder of BeautyLynk®.

Because the beauty chair can be a turning point toward safety, support, and healing.” (Rica Elysée)
