Fatboy Partners with Key Hairstylist Mike Martinez for Efants Riches Déprimés Fall 2026 Show

Amid simulated snowfall, the Enfants Riches Déprimés (ERD) Fall 2026 at Paris Fashion Week show leaned fully into its dark, theatrical edge. Marking its sixth season collaborating with ERD, Fatboy, a leader in short hair care and styling, partnered with the show’s key hair stylist Mike Martinez to create deliberately undone, texture-driven styles designed to echo the brand’s distressed tailoring, leather and underground energy.

“ERD really does build its own world. Each look feels like a character who’s already lived a life before stepping onto the runway,” says Martinez. “For me as a hairdresser, I had to figure out how make the hair exist inside that, not sit on top of it. Nothing too polished (some looks fall soft and undone, others are pulled back with intention). The real charm of Fatboy is how flexible the products are and how well they layer with one another. Fatboy gave us just the right hold without stiffness, so everything could survive the lights and snowfall and still feel honest.”

Fatboy has carved out its place in high-performance styling, particularly within shorthair, developing a range designed to hold up under any condition. The brand’s products were essential in achieving the looks seen on the Enfants Riches Déprimés Fall 2026 runway. Among the standout products was Fatboy’s Tousle & Go, a versatile styler formulated to deliver volume, definition and workable hold across all hair types. Combining the benefits of a lightweight texturizing spray and dry shampoo, it adds body and grit without weighing the hair down.

Also key to the show was the Fatboy Styling Cream, used to enhance natural movement while providing a medium, flexible hold without flaking. Often applied as a blow-dry base, this lightweight formula helps build volume, protect against heat and UV damage and support long-lasting shape.

For Fatboy founder Tyson Kennedy, the ongoing partnership with Enfants Riches Déprimés reflects the brand’s natural place within the fashion space.

“It’s always exciting to be back with ERD,” says Kennedy. “There’s something really honest about the way they approach everything, it’s not forced, and that resonates with how I think about hair. Working with Mike Martinez and the team always feels very natural, and it’s a space where our products just make sense.”

Lead stylist Mike Martinez shares how to recreate the Women’s Big, Polished Volume look from the show:

  • STEP 1: Start with a clean slate, wash with Fatboy’s Volumizing Shampoo (skip conditioner, trust the process).
  • STEP 2: Work Fatboy’s Styling Cream into the roots only, section by section. Lift starts here, not later.
  • STEP 3: Give yourself a classic, smooth, bouncy blowout with a 1” round brush.
  • STEP 4: Go back in with a ½”–¾” iron. Mist each section with Fatboy’s Defining Finish, first, then wrap clean and flat (no twisting, we’re not making rope).
  • STEP 5: Clip each curl on the base. This is where the shape is born.
  • STEP 6: Set it: hit everything with another veil of Defining Finish, then cool it down with a diffuser.
  • STEP 7: Drop the clips from the bottom up and wake it up with Fatboy’s Tousle & Go for that perfectly imperfect grit.
  • STEP 8: Brush it out softly, then sculpt with clips until the shape feels expensive.
  • STEP 9: Lock it in with one last mist of Defining Finish, let it sit, then release.
  • STEP 10: Done. Big hair but make it fashionable.
  • PRO TIP: Work a small amount of Fatboy’s Sea Salt Pomade through the ends to create soft, piece-y definition.
