The Fellowship for British Hairdressing is renowned for its creative progression, networking environment and the educational opportunities provided to members and industry peers alike. It’s commitment to providing unique working sessions, business advice and accessible digital content has international recognition and is widely known throughout the many generations of hairdressing.
As part of the evolution of the Fellowship, the team are delighted to announce the acquisition of SHIFT Education, the online digital education platform founded by Steve McManus. The acquisition of the education platform will see the Fellowship enhance their online digital offerings via their new app and online channels.
The merge of both digital platforms is a huge step into the evolution of the Fellowship’s plans, with educational content covering a variety of creative and business focussed topics. From the youngest members within ClubStar to the most senior and respected names within the industry, every member and hairdresser is catered too, ensuring the progression through education is always considered as the highest priority.
The digital educational offerings include unique content from many inspirational names such as Angelo Seminara, Adam Reed, Tom Connell, Sarah Louise Keane and many more.
“I am really excited that the Fellowship for British Hairdressing has acquired Shift Education, and all of its education, contents and assets to add to its impressive platform that is already created. We have worked really hard here at Leaf to carefully curate and source some amazing education and content, and to bring to our customers amazing education for them to learn from.
We met with the Fellowship earlier this year, to discuss how we can grow something meaningful together, and it soon transpired that the Fellowship plans were so comprehensive and for the good of the entire industry. This led us to the mutual conclusion that the content we have created is best placed with the Fellowship to help them achieve their goals and improve the hairdressing industry. We really excited about this next step for our industry and we look forward to seeing what are the fellowship going to create with this amazing education,” comments Steve.
Fellowship for British Hairdressing CEO Barry Stephens adds, “I am over the moon to announce the acquisition of SHIFT Education, a platform which is well respected, recognised and provides detailed and relevant education that helps stylists and business owners progress and excel within their careers. Our aim here at the Fellowship is to provide our members and the wider industry with continuous education and opportunities that cover all aspects and areas of hairdressing, barbering and business. Through this acquisition, we will continue to be part of the ongoing evolution of the wider hairdressing industry – something we are very excited and honoured to be involved within.”
