Personal care and cosmetic brand Kao Corporation has been selected for inclusion in the World’s Most Ethical Companies 2020 list by U.S. think-tank Ethisphere Institute.
This marks the 14th year in a row that Kao has been chosen – the only Jananese company with such an honor. The group emphasises the concept of integrity, which serves as the starting point for all of the enterprise’s activity.
Michitaka Sawada, Kao’s President and CEO, said of the commendation: “We are deeply honoured to have been recognized as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for 14 consecutive years. Last year, the Kao Group announced a major new development in our ESG management strategy, with the implementation of initiatives that position Integrity as the foundation of ESG activities.
“In addition, we have made securing our inclusion in the World’s Most Ethical Companies list a key performance indicator for our executive officers, so that we can all work together to thoroughly implement Integrity.”
