Laced Hair Foundation Looking for Stylists to Help Bring Extensions to Those in Need

Owner of Laced Hair Extensions, Lacy  Gadegaard-West has made it her life’s mission to empower women and uplift their confidence. She does this, not only through providing high-quality extensions to women across North America, but she has also launched a non-profit organization, Laced Hair Foundation, which helps to uplift women who are suffering from hair loss due to medical conditions.

The inspiration for this foundation comes from Lacy’s own story. In 2016, six years after founding Laced Hair Extensions, Lacy was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Upon being admitted to the University of Utah Neuro Unit, she began infusion treatments, resulting in the loss of 70% of her hair. While there, she spent time with other women going through treatments for cancer and multiple other autoimmune disorders.

As she got to know these women, they began discussing her business, Laced Hair. One by one, they mentioned their desire for hair extensions, however, the price was out of their reach due to their large medical bills. Lacy knew her brand could help restore their confidence and was inspired to create the Laced Hair Foundation.

Six months later, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and now sits on the board for the Multiple Sclerosis Society Utah and Idaho Chapter. The Laced Hair Foundation exists to restore confidence to women, arming them to face whatever challenges come their way.

The Laced Hair Foundation allows you to nominate yourself or someone else to be a recipient of Laced Hair Extensions at no charge.

How can you help?

Laced Hair foundation has several stylists throughout the US and Canada who work with the foundation to help bring extensions to women in need. However, they are always looking for stylists across North America who are willing to donate their time to this cause, helping to fit and work with Laced Hair recipients.

Lacy said: “We are planning our first event for the Laced Hair Foundation locally in Salt Lake City in early 2022, so we hope to raise more awareness for what we are doing. We have filed as a 501(c)(3), so all donations are tax-deductible!”

If you know someone who might benefit from Laced Hair extensions through the Foundation, you want to donate, or you want more information about the cause, go to https://lacedhairfoundation.org/.
