After an incredible 38 years of service, SVP and general manager of Joico Sara Jones has announced her retirement, with Melisa Gill set to replace her as general manager from May 1, 2020.
Jones’ career began in 1982, starting out as a hairdresser then developing into corporate roles in education, sales and marketing. She has been led the Joico brand for a number of years, providing them with profitable growth and a strong position in the beauty industry.
“Our entire organization thanks Sara for her outstanding contributions and wishes her happiness and JOI in her retirement,” says Stefan L. Mund, regional head of Henkel Beauty Care Hair Professional for North America. “Her contributions to the industry and her personal impact on those she’s touched is evidence that Sara loved her work and made it a priority,” he adds.
Her successor Melisa is currently vice president, Global Marketing and New Product Development at Joico and will make a fantastic replacement as General Manager.
