Baby, we’re back! It’s been a while; hope you’ve not missed us too much!
Earlier in the year, we made the difficult decision to postpone the third edition of SalonEVO. Thank you for your patience with us as we evaluated how to proceed in light of the unprecedented changes Covid-19 brought to the industry. Months later, we’re over the moon to bring you this edition of SalonEVO. It’s bright, it’s bold, it’s going to knock your socks off!
We don’t know about you, but we’re certainly feeling in need of some color in our lives! Gracing our cover this month is the glorious work of Alfredo Lewis. You’ll be pleased to know that Alfredo is just as bright and inspiring as his newest collection. Inside this issue, Alfredo tells SalonEVO how deeply his passion for education runs and about his journey from a social-media-novice to a digital-rockstar (though he’s much too humble to admit it!).
During these uncertain times, we’ve included some insights into how you can best protect yourself and your clients, in conjunction with the Professional Beauty Association. While as an industry we’re incredibly sanitary, we still have some adapting to do. Find out more inside.
SalonEVO was so excited to speak to celebrity colorist and dpHUE developer Justin Anderson on his incredible rise to fame and pick his brains on all matters color and maintenance. From celebrity stories to life lessons and his love of Olaplex, Justin shared some incredible insights with us.
Finally, we’re sad to announce that our editor-extraordinaire Amy Glasgow is moving on. Amy has been instrumental in the launch and direction of the publication, and all of us at TeamEVO wish her the best in her new venture. Writing this welcome; your new editor, Claire Macaulay. I’m incredibly excited to undertake this challenge and know I have some big shoes to fill. If you would like to feature in SalonEVO, please drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Stay safe out there.
