OUT NOW: SalonEVO UK and Ireland Issue 14 – March / April 2023

Welcome to SalonEvo issue 14! The spring is… well hopefully coming soon. But with the spring fashion weeks behind us, we are invigorated and inspired for this new season of creativity and colour. It’s wedding hour and Earth Month is just around the corner too! So, our features cover everything from sustainability and interiors to colour and bridal. Expect incredible interviews with some of the biggest names in hair and beauty. Here’s more about our leading features…

There’s no time like the present to heed the advice of this issue’s eco experts. We show you how to start being as passionate about sustainable hairdressing as you are about styling hair. And starting off is easy! Begin by stocking eco-friendly and vegan certified products/brands, installing energy saving lightbulbs, washing your towels at 30° and using lower temperatures at the backwash.

Big names include En Route Hair Salon (owner Melenie Tudor’s 2023 collection made it to our front cover!), barbershop and creative space WhiP, Scotland-based STOBO Castle, and Phytomer luxury treatment line. We also speak to Andrew Barton, who is UK Creative Ambassador of Keune, founder of ABLE Training Scholarship Programme, and celebrity hairstylist. He’s incredibly passionate about the future of the hairdressing industry and believes that eco-friendliness is the way forward.

Here comes the bridal feature that you have all been waiting for! What is more romantic than a spring wedding? We speak to bridal hair and beauty experts like Teresa Weller, Janine Jennings, and many more to get you feeling the bridal love. “It’s the best job in the world!” is what TV and bridal makeup artist Gillian Jennings told us, and a “privilege to take brides through their big day”. Gorgeous photos and inspiring interviews prove nothing less.

Another very spring-y feature is colour! Colour expert and former Fellowship Project Colour Leader, Paul Dennison kicks off the feature with his wisdom on the world of colour. Columnist, Melissa Timperley talks about the business of colour, and Rhiannon Groovey shares some of her vivid visions.

We’re also really excited to announce some new columnists. Each issue, the ‘King of the Catwalk’ Nick Irwin gives us a look behind the scenes of some of his biggest shoots of 2023. We’re anticipating some really impressive looks and endless inspiration from this creative powerhouse.
