The bridal hair industry is growing and adapting to industry demands this year. Trends are reflecting a growing demand for personalised, expressive styles – and at ROAR Hair & Beauty, we’ve noticed a few key, emerging bridal trends that are reshaping the market.

So far, we’ve seeing a notable convergence of timeless elegance and individual expression in bridal hairstyles. We’ve found that brides are seeking styles that not only complement their overall wedding aesthetic, but also authentically represent their personal style.

Our stylists are dedicated to creating looks that enhance client’s natural beauty, ensuring they feel authentically themselves on their big day. At ROAR, we always recommend a hair trial to explore various styles, encouraging our guests to bring inspiration photos and accessories to help create their vision.

Beachy Waves: The Natural Elegance Trend

The bridal industry is seeing a surge in demand for effortlessly chic looks, with beachy waves leading the charge. This trend has been here before and isn’t leaving anytime soon! It speaks to brides seeking a perfect balance between relaxed charm and romantic allure. Stylists are noting an increased preference for soft, tousled waves that frame the face, rather than a structured or tight curl – leaving brides feeling like the best version of themselves.

The key to this trend’s success is its versatility. It can be adapted to complement various dress styles, particularly those with intricate back details or delicate shoulder embellishments. We emphasise the importance of considering the entire bridal ensemble when choosing this style, ensuring the hair enhances – rather than conceals – the features of the gown.

Embellished Up-do: The Glam Revival

The bridal market is also witnessing a resurgence of glamour, with embellished up-dos taking centre stage. This trend caters to brides seeking a polished, sophisticated look with a touch of sparkle. We have many brides requesting elaborate up-dos finished with a variety of accessories, from classic pearl hairpins to luxurious diamond-encrusted clips.

This trend also holds lots of adaptability, with stylists tailoring the look to individual preferences and addressing personal concerns. The focus is on creating a style that not only looks stunning but also feels comfortable and authentic to the bride, reflecting a broader industry shift towards personalised bridal experiences.

Simple Up-do: The Minimalist Movement

As the wedding industry sees a rise in minimalist ceremonies, simple up-dos are also emerging as a key trend. These clean, understated styles are perfect for brides embracing refined elegance. Sleek chignons and classic Hollywood wave up-dos are particularly popular, offering versatility that complements various necklines and dress styles. This trend resonates with brides seeking a timeless look that will photograph well and stand the test of time. The simplicity of these styles also allows for easy incorporation of personal touches, such as family heirloom hairpieces, reflecting the industry’s move towards meaningful, personalised weddings.

This Pamela Anderson inspired style was a personal favourite of ours.

Whimsical Styling: The Bohemian Flower Trend

The bridal industry is experiencing a blooming interest in whimsical, nature-inspired hairstyles. This trend is particularly popular for outdoor and bohemian-themed weddings, with stylists reporting increased requests for floral looks. The style typically features fresh flowers or high-quality silk blooms woven into curly down-dos or loose, braided updos.

This trend aligns with the growing preference for personalised, theme-cohesive weddings. We are seeing brides opt for everything from delicate baby’s breath for an ethereal effect to vibrant wildflowers matching the bridal bouquet.
