Scotland’s largest salon group, Rainbow Room International, were once again honoured to be invited backstage at BAFTA Scotland 2025, held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central and hosted by Edith Bowman. The annual awards celebrate exceptional talent across Scotland’s screen industries, and Rainbow Room International has become a trusted backstage presence, returning each year to support attendees as they prepare for the red carpet and ceremony.

This year’s ceremony featured an exciting range of nominees and winners across 13 competitive categories, alongside special honours recognising long-standing contributions to the industry. The atmosphere backstage was vibrant and energetic, with attendees preparing for an evening of celebration, interviews, red-carpet moments and on-stage appearances.
Rainbow Room International brought a skilled team of eight stylists to the event, supporting a diverse mix of male and female guests. Among those styled were Alan Cummings, Chloe Pirrie, Sorcha Groundsel, Sinead MacInnes, Emma Laird, Sheli McCoy, Robert AramaVo, James McCardle, Sophia Mullan, Sanjeev kohli, and Saskia Ashdown. The hair direction this year embraced natural texture, soft movement and loose, tousled waves, a modern red-carpet aesthetic that focused on enhancing each individual’s natural look. Styles ranged from relaxed up-dos to flowing, lived-in waves and subtle volume, capturing a softer and more effortless approach to glamour.
Commenting on the experience, Yasmin McMail, Salon Director at Rainbow Room International, said: “Being invited back to the BAFTA Scotland Awards is always a highlight for our team. This year’s brief focused on beautifully natural, textured looks, soft waves, and movement, creating relaxed yet refined styles that felt incredibly modern. The atmosphere backstage was fantastic, and it was a pleasure for our stylists to support so many talented individuals on such an important night for Scotland’s screen industry.”
