ALTERNA Ambassador, Sabrina Dijkman was thrilled to co-host and create some stunning hair looks on stage at the Beyond The Ponytail Styling Awards event in Atlanta, Georgia (USA).
As a respected hair stylist and bridal expert, Sabrina was thrilled to present awards to winning stylists for categories including Hairstylist of the Year, Educator of the Year and for hairstyles including Boho Hairstyle, Ponytail and Glam Waves and be involved in an event that brought together stylists from all over the world and gave them access to the best inspiration and education on the latest trends in all things styling.
Sabrina showcased her talent on stage creating her favourite editorial braids/extensions hairstyle using Zascha Hair hair extensions and of course, styling products from ALTERNA. Her look of choice was an elegant crown braid where she used padded (self-made) headband to help create the shape on top with lots of volume before going in and creating her braid. Renowned for her braid work, it was evident a braid would be reflected in her updo presentation.
Alongside featuring a thick, editorial style braid at the top of the head created using the extensions and resembling that of a crown, the look formed together at the nape of the neck into a beautiful low slung braided bun with pieces of hair left out around the face and curled to face frame and add softness to the look.
Sabrina used a number of ALTERNA products to help create and perfect the style. This included Caviar Anti-Aging Multiplying Volume Styling Mist to prep the hair and provide it with nourishment and volume before styling, Caviar Anti-Aing Professional Styling Perfect Texture Spray to give the braids texture and fullness and My Hair. My. Canvas City Slay Shielding Hair Spray on the face framing curls before heated styling for heat protection alongside hold and to banish any frizz.
Following Sabrina’s hair presentation, a video presentation was shown to the audience featuring looks Sabrina had created on a recent ALTERNA collection shoot and in her role as ALTERNA Ambassador. Guests were also provided with samples of the ALTERNA products in their hotel rooms, in swag bags at the event and there was even the opportunity to see ALTERNA products in action at a tester bar at the event too.
