The Marc Antoni Artistic Team have once more returned to China to take part in a series of spectacular events in Xiamen.
For eleven years the team have travelled each November to take part in the World Hair Congress in China and each year the audiences at the main auditorium has grown and this year have reached a capacity of 4,000 hairdressers eagerly waiting the inspirational presentation by the Marc Antoni Artistic Team. And they were not disappointed by the diverse array of models showcasing cut, colour and avant garde styling featuring the latest trends in British Hairdressing.
Against a colourful backdrop of fire and ice, after a demonstration session showing in detail the techniques used to create the looks, the stunning finale of over 30 models resplendent in Vivienne Westwood were welcomed on to stage by a standing ovation from the audience. The next stop for the team was the classroom, to work with the Mizi Oba and Marc Antoni Franchise Salon teams, where over three days they held a series of practical workshops, demonstrating many of the looks that were showcased on the main stage.
Earlier this year Marc Antoni opened their first franchise salon in Xiamen and on this visit spent time working with the salon team developing and honing their skills and techniques. With plans to develop the Marc Antoni franchise in China, a second salon was opened whilst the team were in China with several other sites being earmarked for future development.
“Coming back to China for the first time since 2019, was extra special,” said Marc Antoni Artistic Director, Bruno Marc Giamattei. “We were delighted to be back on the main stage and present a show of that magnitude but to also have our own salons in Xiamen and to see how the team was progressing was extra special.” “The team excelled on every occasion throughout the trip to Xiamen, and it was a proud moment to share with my brother Marcus, nephew Paolo, who was taking part in his first major show and our colleagues Dan Spiller and Tom Ross.” “We’re already looking forward to the opening of the next Marc Antoni franchise salon and the World Hair Congress 2024.”
To end the trip Bruno was announced as the Ambassador to the Chinese World Congress for the next two years and received a stunning award to celebrate this wonderful accolade.
