Wella Professionals Announces Finalists for the UK & Ireland TrendVision Award 2021.

The Wella Professionals TrendVision Award 2021 finalists have been announced. As one of the most exciting and prestigious industry competitions.

2021 has welcomed three completely new categories to the competition, all of which were entered on Instagram. The Natural Texture Artist category celebrates and embraces natural hair texture. In addition, Wella’s student competition, Xposure, which has an incredible 20-year heritage, has now joined the TrendVision Award 2021 competition. There are two Xposure categories, Creative Colour and Colour the Cut.

The lucky finalists have already made it through the initial first photographic stage of the competition, before competing at the UK & Ireland Digital Semi-Finals. This involved submitting before and after looks, and recording a short video explaining the technique, inspiration, application, and inspiration behind their looks. Special provisions were also made for the student calendar, allowing the Xposure photographic stage winners to go straight through to the UK and Ireland Final in October.

One of the most unique elements of the TrendVision Award is the level of mentoring that’s offered to competitors throughout their journey. “This is a great opportunity to grow your skills along the way,” said Colin McAndrew, Medusa, Edinburgh. “There’s been an incredible schedule of videos available showing the TrendVision inspired looks, which are still available on education.wella.com.”
