Oribe Takes New York Fashion Week S/S 2026… with Wiederhoeft’s “Lost Works”

New York Fashion Week is always a stage for artistry and innovation – and this season, Oribe Hair Care once again proved its place at the heart of fashion’s biggest moments. Two standout collaborations showcased the brand’s creative versatility: Wiederhoeft’s “Lost Works.”
Wiederhoeft: Lost Works
For Spring/Summer 2026, Wiederhoeft unveiled Lost Works, a collection inspired by uncovered treasures and forgotten techniques. To mirror this sense of rediscovery, Oribe Principal Artist of Global Design, Kien Hoang, created two contrasting hair looks that fused elegance with sculptural precision.

Defined by its architectural silhouette, the Sleek Chignon exuded refined drama:
Create a center part on clean, dry hair, then apply Maximista Thickening Spray to the roots, while sculpting the hair around the hairline.
Pull the hair into a low ponytail and secure with an elastic band.
Then, apply a layer of Rock Hard Gel to smooth flyaways around the hairline and throughout the length of the ponytail.
Next, separate the ponytail into 2-3 sections. Working section by section, use a 1.5-inch curling iron to curl each piece.
Place a French hair net around each of the 3 hair sections.
Next, combine all three hair nets into one sculptural bob, tucking and rolling the hair nets under the curls so they are invisible.
Secure the hair with pins, creating an architectural sculptural chignon across the base of the hair.
2. Next, gather hair into two small ponytails on the top of the head, pulling the hair firmly back and securing each ponytail with an elastic.
3. Then, create two additional small tight ponytails on the back of the head, securing each with an elastic.
4. Adhere a bun form to each of the ponytails at the back of the head, pulling the hair through the forms to expand texture.
5. Next, spray each section of the hair with Gold Lust Dry Heat Protection Spray. Working section by section, use a 0.75-inch curling iron to create curls on each individual ponytail.
