At the British Fashion Awards on Monday night, all eyes were on the red carpet as the stunning Rochelle Humes made a bold statement with her hair, courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Jay Birmingham. Rochelle is always known for her chic style and decided to flaunt a clip-in fringe crafted by Jay himself. Jay is here to let us in on how he created the look.
The transformation began by creating the bun. Jay crafted a neat bun at the back of Rochelle’s head. Utilising Color Wow products to ensure a sleek and flawless finish, he strategically positioned the bun lower to accommodate her bob length hair, laying the groundwork for the eye-catching fringe addition.
The custom-made fringe, pre-cut and styled by Jay on a mannequin head, was the focus point of this look. Carefully clipped onto the top of her head, Jay says he delicately brushed and blended the fringe with her natural hair, ensuring a seamless and natural look.
Not stopping there, Jay personalised the fringe to perfectly complement Rochelle’s features and face shape. With a keen eye for detail, he fine-tuned the fringe’s placement and shape, enhancing the overall look.
To finish off the look, Jay applied generous amounts of shine spray and hair spray from Color Wow, adding a sheen and ensuring the hairstyle stayed flawlessly in place throughout the British Fashion Awards 2023 evening.
