Haircuts4Homeless (H4H), the registered charity set up by veteran hairdresser Stewart Roberts is on a mission to give even more good hair days to those less fortunate, with the launch of its Ambassador Programme.
Already winning plaudits for its UK-wide initiative, which provides homeless people with free haircuts to help them look and feel better, H4H now hopes that it can spread the goodwill of its community of skilled hairdressing volunteers even further. The Ambassador Programme is a new way for hair salons, barbers and spas throughout the UK to support the charity. Participating salons will be asked to add £1 to the charge for selected H4H services, which will then go towards a haircut or service for a person in need.

It’s simple for salons to get involved by displaying the H4H logo on chosen services on their price list. This can be used as an incentive to promote services, whether it’s giving exposure to a junior stylist or upselling a backwash treatment. With the £1 donation, H4H will be able to fund not just a haircut, but a kind gesture that lets a homeless person know that people really care.
Founder of H4H Stewart Roberts says, “One of people’s basic rights is for them to feel good about themselves and H4H has always been about helping people to achieve that. The hairdressing industry is known for its generosity and willingness to help people and now there is another way to get behind this great cause and empower more homeless people to reclaim the self-worth and dignity they deserve.”
Stewart adds, “Whether it’s a little or lot, the ongoing support, including from the new Ambassador Programme all counts towards the ‘capital’ of H4H which enables us to deliver, grow & develop this service for the homeless.”
